The Episcopal Diocese of Texas has awarded St. Thomas the Apostle with a $60,000 grant paid over three years. This grant will be used to support a ministry that revolves around tabletop role playing games (RPGs) that embrace the Christian experience and community building that welcomes those who have not been a part of a traditional church. The RPG experiences are developed by Youth and Young Adult Minister Josh Orsak and Michael Leedy, both RPG designers.
“We are so excited about the new phase of the Strategic Mission Grants that stresses out-of-the-box thinking for our congregations to develop innovative ways to reach their neighbors to be a part of a Christian community in the ethos of our Episcopal tradition,” said David Fisher, director of foundations at The Episcopal Diocese of Texas.
